Ground-Mount Arrays

GROUND-MOUNT SOLAR PANEL SYSTEM

SOLAR OPTION
ALTERNATIVE

Rooftop solar arrays are the most common choice for solar however there are many reasons to consider a ground-mount solar panel system.

For buildings whose roofs may not support a rooftop solar array, face in the wrong direction, or are partially shaded, a ground-mounted system would be a better choice.

Ground-mounted systems also give more control over the direction of the panels, and the degree of tilt, which can lead to better efficiency.

SYSTEMS

Ground-mount solar panels are positioned on the ground rather than on the roof.

The panels are positioned on a tilt frame at about a 30-degree angle. This assures maximum solar energy absorption and output. They are placed anywhere from a few inches to several feet off the ground.

For certain impenetrable locations, like landfills, the panels may be placed above the ground using ballasted piers. Certain ground conditions may require anchor systems.

We also offer ground-mounted solar pile driver services and can easily power through any large debris.

TRACKING SYSTEMS
SINGLE OR DUAL

Single-axis tracking systems have increased energy production due to long panels following the sun throughout the day. Due to their long span and moving parts, these require more land area.

Dual-axis tracking systems are separate panels that move both north-south and east-west. They are designed to maximize solar energy collection all year round.
