Service/Operations & Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled service/operations & maintenance technician for commercial solar projects. MUST have at least two years of experience. Solar experience is required. Frequent travel to our warehouse in Hawthorne, NJ, is required.

Job Type: Full-time

*Approximately 40% of the prevailing wage yearly

Typical start time: 7:00 AM

Typical end time: 3:30 PM

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Requirements:

  • Perform status checks; document and complete work reports
  • Flexibility to remain on-call with the supervisor
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; solar plant systems and testing equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve solar PV and battery storage system issues, including emergency repairs and corrective maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with remote drivers in the office
  • Ensure sites are operating at full power and with full efficiency
  • Represent Pfister Energy Inc. with the utmost professionalism
  • Adhere to strict safety precautions

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years O & M Tech experience
  • Background knowledge of solar systems and electrical components is preferred.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot system failures.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen tests.

License: MUST have a Valid driver’s license (Required), reliable transportation & electrical license a plus
