Pfister Energy Selected As Finalist In Energy
The winners of Fast Company’s 2020 World Changing Ideas Awards were announced last week, honoring the businesses, policies, projects, and concepts that are actively engaged and deeply committed to flattening the curve when it comes to the climate crisis, social injustice, or economic inequality.
Pfister Energy was selected as a finalist in the category of Energy for its Stackable energy technologies —It all starts on the roof submission.
President, Wayne Pfisterer, states, “There’s a massive amount of infrastructure inefficiency in the electric grid. When we look at commercial rooftops, we see platforms for clean energy technology.”
By stacking energy technologies™ like solar, thermal, wind, daylighting, rainwater harvesting, and other renewable energy systems as part of a smart, on-site building integrated energy plan, helps to optimize each of these solutions.
A panel of eminent judges selected winners and finalists from a pool of more than 3,000 entries across transportation, education, food, politics, technology, and more.
The 2020 awards feature entries from across the globe, from Vancouver to Singapore to Tel Aviv.
“We are very honored to be recognized for our innovative concept. Roofs have long been a necessity to keep our buildings watertight. We are now able to utilize this free real estate for on-site clean energy and storage and is transforming that roof into a generator of energy,” says Pfisterer.
“More companies will realize that not only will these strategies provide a return on investment, but it’s also the right thing to do. It gives us energy independence and is building a better world—now and as we emerge from the coronavirus crisis and going forward.”
“There seems a no better time to recognize organizations that are using their ingenuity, resources, and, in some cases, their scale to tackle society’s biggest problems,” says Stephanie Mehta, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “Our journalists, under the leadership of senior editor Morgan Clendaniel, have uncovered some of the smartest and most inspiring projects of the year.”
